School Commences Term 1, 2021 on Monday 1st February 2021

Please read more below to read Mrs Wigg's welcome to the start of the new school year.  Information about COVID, Kindy and Student Class Allocations.

Dear Parents & Carers,

I hope that everyone had a relaxing Christmas and New Year break. School resumes for students as of the 1st February with starting times being 8.55am (classrooms open at 8.30am on Monday to support parents dropping off equipment etc)The school day concludes at 2.35. We are still under Phase 4 of the COVID19 guidelines and as such we are still operating as we did last year, with students from PP to Year 6 being dropped at the classroom door. However, for Monday parents are able to walk their child in and say farewell. Teachers and Education Assistants have plans in place to support students with organising their personal equipment.  Please ensure 1 parent only enters per child and no other siblings. Parent numbers in classes need to be kept below 10.

Kindy parents are asked to bring their child into the classroom from 8.30am, settle their child and then leave promptly (Please again make sure that it is only one member of the family entering the classroom, with their child).  It is important that parents stagger their entry into the classroom so that we do not have more than 10 parents in the classroom at any one time, as we do need to ensure that we are staying within the guidelines that we have been given (2 square metre social distancing).

We understand the difficulty of this and how the first day of class is often a special moment.

Student class allocations will be posted  on Thursday at 12pm.  Photos cannot be taken of class lists.  If you are unable to come in, please ring the office and the lovely ladies will let you know your child’s class . You can also pick up your letters from your child’s class teacher at this time. We will be holding an open afternoon again from 2.30 -3.00 pm on Thursday 28th January, for new families and our special needs students to meet their teachers and familiarise themselves with where their classroom is located.

Kind Regards,

Teresa Wigg
